The ancient Norse had a very different view of the nature of vampires and their origins. To them, vampires are the Blood Chosen of Odin (einherjar) pursuing Valhalla on Earth in preparation for Ragnarok. Tell them they are descended from the kin slayer Caine at your peril. At their height, Norse vampire jarls (lords) ruled openly with their blood servants as huskarls (fighting men sworn to a lord) and oaths in both directions. Life was harsh in the far North and unlife no less so. Come join one such jarl in ancient Iceland as he and his village try to survive the harsh winter. Be aware that most of the characters in this game are NOT vampires but being Norse, they are no less dangerous. But then again, so is the land in which they live.

Smith, Eric

Eric Smith's first LARP was Shakespeare's Lost Play at a Balticon sometime in the late 1980's. He tried a few more and the proposed to his wife, the lovely Christine, at the LARP Murder Mystery Weekend. After more years of LARP, Eric rashly decided to try his hand at writing and running games. His first was Fete d'Auvergne, part of the now defunct Mersienne Medieval Fantasy campaign. This was followed by It Sucks To Be You, Heimdall's Children (Viking World of Darkness) and Drink Deeper, a full weekend write your own character LARP. His latest work is the 1948 Signals campaign game running in the DC metropolitan area.
